welcome to the falsetto clergy website. please ignore unethical advertising----->

everyone's gone to myspace, haven't you heard? i had to succumb to peer pressure, click here.

(dispatch 01.14.05): big big news: copy #2 of fragile forest officially sold. thanks jay. otherwise just playing at home on emac, getting used to garageband...

(dispatch 12.02.04): tsm record on hold, drummer crapped out on us... still need to record 3 new songs (at least) for falsetto clergy release, still planning show, new mac at home for me to play with...

(dispatch 10.25.04): retooling record, took hiatus, more new songs, fans losing interest, reagan re-elected (oops), nobody's looking, already preparing next album before finishing current record, smartest monkeys album #2 soon, possible falsetto clergy and smartest monkeys performances in nashville before the end (<-hint, hint) of the year, the states and slapstick sex to open, possibly uptown society, popsickle on hold...

(dispatch 07.10.04): man, it feels roomy in here... i think i'll put another new song up soon, one that's actually finished (yes, still mixing)... stay tuned for big popsickle records news...

(dispatch 06.21.04): adding a few to the new record, new sequencing, still no money, boo hoo poor me... realizing i can't release it anytime soon made time elastic; it might sound like a real album when i'm finished... i'm bored so i think i'll re-do the site a bit this week...

(dispatch 04.21.04): minus cello and a few vocals, the new record is complete (recording, that is). mixing will ensue in the coming weeks, and i'm taking my time because i have no job and no money to release it yet. don't worry, i'm not gonna run to a label just because i've got low cashflow these days... although i most likely will have to sell out and add a second page to the site for all these lyrics...

(dispatch 04.04.04): well, la-dee-da. the time has come for a new falsetto clergy recording. 15 songs ready to go. i'll keep you posted. i might even play a show or two to promote this one. if i feel like it.

(dispatch 03.16.04): new single available here only, called in the summer bye & bye. click here for download, here for lyrics.

(dispatch 03.03.04): any fool can tell you major labels are bad news; i'm telling you all labels are bad news. let's evolve. stop thinking big money, mass appeal. whether you like it or not, the odds are your little band will be lost in the annals of rock history, so why not just have fun? make your own records, play shows when and where you want, stay local, stay indie. indie as an end in itself, not as a stepping stone to a major, not as a phase; i mean indie as a lifestyle, a creed, a tattoo, a path, whatever. from my personal experience, i can tell you it's not only an "alternative" route, it's a better one.

cursive was wrong; art is easy. $50 guitar, $100 4-track, radio shack mic, momma's computer - i made a record, where's yours?

if you want a disc, click here to e-mail me, 40% goes to the homeless in nashville... marielle wins because she bought the first copy...

you can listen to a few from the fragile forest lp, pass them around, head for the hills; streaming is tricky business, you should just take them... and if by chance, you hate what you hear, feel free to create something superior. click the song title for words, download for download...
