Fantasies Take Flight

Starting in 1982 there was what was
probably THE Rennaissance of Fantasy movies
It began with Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal
and ended in 1988 with
George Lucas'/Ron Howards' Willow.
Perhaps they don't have the big special
effects and budgets of todays modern shows,
but Dark Crystal's all puppet cast is yet
to be rivalled by an all special effects actor,
and Willow was wonderfully up to the special
challenge of working with talented little people.
(Something the creators of today's Lord of the Rings
unfortunately did not seem to be.)
Take a journey into these fantastical worlds populated
by cursed lovers, Goblin Kings, Luck Dragons,
princesses, demons, and true love.
You may not want to come back. ~_^
