Fairfax Lacrosse Club History
____________________________________________________________________

The Fairfax Lacrosse Club was founded in 1998.  The objective in forming the Fairfax LC was to create an opportunity for skilled players to compete in Spring lacrosse in Fairfax County.  Soliciting and receiving membership from the Central Atlantic Lacrosse League (Now known as the American Lacrosse League), provided the club with an exciting opportunity to travel and play over forty East Coast teams ranging from New York to North Carolina.  Fairfax has put teams in tournaments ranging from Hawaii to Mardi Gras as well many others.
The Fairfax LC offers an opportunity for lacrosse players to continue playing the game they love in their post collegiate years.  Many of the players were integral parts of Division I and III collegiate programs.  The club has grown and matured over the years.  The mantle of leadership resides with Michael Anthony Rill who is making great strides in structuring and maintaing the talent and competition of the club.  Chris Kempton has joined the club in 2k3 and has added leadership and vision for the future.  The team also works with Bill Collier and the Southwestern Youth Association as well as Advantage Lacrosse by providing free lacrosse clinics and various functions to help promote the sport.

In its Fifth season with the C.A.L.L., now the American Lacrosse League(A.L.L), the Fairfax LC has received sponsorship from Kilroy's Restaurant as well as many other sponsors like Malibu Grill and Bluewater.  The the team successfully competes in regional tournaments and continues to attract the areas  top lacrosse talent.  The team needs the assistance of additional sponsors in order to participate in upcoming events and to also organize special activities for the area youth members.   If interested please contact us at fairfaxlc@yahoo.com  Thank you for your interest in visiting our site.
