Faidh Naomh OwlFeather's Esoteric Druidheacht
When I really began my quest deeply exploring this particular style of life and expression, walking along similar paths that my ancestors traversed to the same ends, I quickly discovered that the path they had once fashioned now is broken and in general disrepair, as well as being largely untrod from long years of little significant use. At times it is hard to discern the path as I venture through the forest because nature, fertile again, has begun to grow over it once more- recycling the old soil and flora, but such change is the nature of Being. At other areas I can see, as I stumble along the old path, thorny-bramble and overgrowth which makes dangerous the search onward for the next section of the road before me. This is beyond any doubt the work of Bricriu, who lives yet, and assumes many masks in our world today.
I have also seen that there is a body of sincere would-be dedicants, some who are really looking for nothing more than to return home, to find themselves and their place in the world. Not an easily fulfilled desire, since the path is as has been stated. As Aes-Dana, it is up to those of us of the noble vocations to provide our people with just such.
The path must be cleared in some places, and the truth by our strength will confront the world. We must re-establish a primary road through the heart of our lands, from which solid paths may be linked to the mother of all roads without fear of possible confusion or getting lost. It is about these raods we will establish our villages, our fortresses and temples of faith. And by the strength in our arms, truth in our hearts, and the honesty and excellence of our speech, the ancestors will not be forgotten and our faith will endure, as it has though not without some loss, the trials of time.

It should be noted that some things that I use in my own philosophy will not be easily proven, nor may it even exist in the surviving records- and may never have been a part of Druidh faith, this is of no consequence to myself as it works for me, so if you do not like it don't use it. My beliefs are derived from a scholarly approach to the material and if I have to use something else to portray what I believe they were getting at, then that is what I will do, so long as it has truth in its own right. I also believe that there are certain fundamental truths in all things, and while tradition is very important, I do not hold it above any truth.
I feel that it is also important for me to note that I am forging my own path in my own way (with guidance from my peers of course) and if my own efforts benefit another, then i'm glad to know that I helped someone. But while I may come across as a bit authoritarian, it should be noted that I am but a student myself and I am not out to change anothers beliefs. The only thing I seek to change is falsehood to truth, and even I have to admit i've made wrong discernments before.

Sinnsreachd is a living tradition, and as such, it is constantly changing, just as we are. Without lecturing on quantum mechanics, suffice it to say that the one obvious constant of time and space is the change manifesting from eternal motion, and there is no such thing as 'static'. A higher truth may be discovered tomorrow which causes us to re-evaluate the structure of the lower. It is this that keeps a living tradition truly alive and evolving.

"To you alone it is given to know the truth about the gods and deities of the sky, or else you alone are ignorant of this truth. The innermost groves of far-off forests are your abodes. And it is you who say that the shades of the dead seek not the silent land of Erebus and the pale halls of Pluto; rather, you tell us that the same spirit has a body again elsewhere, and that death, if what you sing is true, is but the mid-point of a long life."
