TIKAR: this is a race of intelligent, non-oxygen-breathing worms native to the planet Tikan, and they have a colony world named Uthum.  When in Earth/Holy-Terran-like environments Tikar use semi-robotic, low-temperature, high-pressure environmental suits.  They dislike too much conflict and therefore became largely isolationist after the fall of the Interstellar Alliance/Second Republic and the League of Non-Aligned Worlds.
TOKATI REALM:  the Tokati, native to the planet Tokat, are mammalian but bird-like creatures with a strong sense if smell.  They also have a colonial planet, Lliesta.  They, centuries ago were politically divided into various nations and were afraid of alien races, but during the time of the Interstellar Alliance/second republic the Tokati became a lot more cosmopolitan and Tokat obtained a united world government.  Humans of the Merchant League and Universal Church have made serious economic and religious gains among the Tokati.  House al-Malik are close human allies of this race.
DILGAR WORLDS:  In the 23rd Century, the warlike Dilgar were the mortal enemies of the races of the League of Non-Aligned Worlds and the Earth Alliance/First Republic.  The race became extinct when the sun of their homeworld Omelos when nova.  The humans of the Merchant League and Houses Hawkwood and Decados maintain strategic space stations in the solar systems of Omelos, Innata, Wahant, and Rohric.
TORTA:  this race is native to the planet Torat, and has colonies on Jodan and Trogoh.  The surface-dwelling Totra used the subterranean subspecies as slaves while the whole race was united under the Regency.  A revolution about 2900 A.D. saw the subterrannean Torta gain freedom and the Regency was overthrown, replaced by a true democracy.  the Torta government plays off the human Royal Houses of Hawkwood, Decados, and al-Malik against each other and actively engages in trade with Merchant League guilds.  The Universal Church has made some converts among this race.
VREE CONGLOMERATE:  this is a mute, telepathic race of humanoids with an emotion-free, rationalistic view of life and the universe.  Native to Vreetan, the Vree also populate the planets Alzeral and Photikar.  The Vree visited Earth/Holy Terra in the 20th Century several times.  the Vree consider the religion of the Universal Church as mere superstition.  They do trade with the guilds of the Merchant League, and the Vree organize their economy and society into similar guilds.  Since they border human space, the Vree attempt to play the Royal Houses off against each other.
YOLU THEOCRACY:  the Yolu are native to the planet Pa'rl, and their religion is based upon the teachings of an ancient female philosopher named Ily'yol, who preaches iron self-discipline and strict self-control, and started the Yolu and later multi-species martial-arts sport known as the Mutai.  The Yolu also populate the worlds of Khitab and Trotaka.  The Yolu have oftn been isolationist, including the present time of the year 3350.  The Yolu supreme council of 15 members both political and religious has incorporated certain ideas from the human-dominated Universal Church of the Celestial Sun, but Yolu religion is still mostly the teachings of Ilya'yol.
