In the first year, Blair, Natalie, Tootie, Sue Ann, Molly, Cindy, and Nancy all lived together in a dorm room attending Eastland all girls school. Mrs. Garret was their house mother, and their headmaster was Mr. Bradly.  In the second season a new girl, Jo comes and becomes a regular cast. Now, Jo, Tootie, Natalie, and Blair get in trouble for going to the Chug-a-luga bar under age.  They get arrested - the first Eastland School girls to get arrested in 52 years! As punishment, they have to live in a room over the cafeteria and work to pay for the damage on the school van.  In the fourth season, their punishment was over.  In stead of moving back to the regular dorms, they moved in a room on top of Mrs. Garretts store, and worked there! Jo and Blair started going to  Langly College. The store burned down, so they remodeled and opened a new store!  Mrs. G got married and moved to Africa to join the PeaceCore again.  Her sister, Beverly Ann Stickle, moved in with the girls. For a while George Clooney played George Burnett and he hanged around with the girls, being a repair man.  Then Beverly Ann adopted Andy, and he stayed with them.  In the last season, Pippa, an exchange student from Australia, came to live with them.

There's a place you've got to go for learnin all you want to know about the facts of life.. the facts of life!

When books are what you're there about and looks are what you care about, the time is right, to learn the facts of lifeee!!!!

When the boys you used to hate you date, I guess you best investigate, the facts of life... you gotta get'em right, the facts of lifeee.....the facts of lfie, the facts of lifeee!!
