This is the story of our club:
For the development of fencing in Bulgaria the year 1961 is remarkable - our country is getting host of the VI Universiade.
In the University of Sofia "St. Kliment Okhridski" as a major university is started the organized and system work in fencing. At this time in the University of Sofia are studying and are engaged in sports the outstanding fencers J. Spiridonoff, Y. Belovska, B. Miloeva, Il. Shopova, V. Avramoff, Iv. Gancheff, T. Tosheva and others. Many of the perspective young fencers find their way in studying in the University. That lead to the decision to nominate a part-time lecturer with fencing as subject on the Departement of sports. Take this place the destinguished expert Nikolay Svechnikoff, who is nominate chief trainer of the University's teams for the ... With this nomination starts the organized fencing in the University of Sofia "St. Kliment Okhridski".
