about me...
| My name is Baron J. Morvant. I grew up in Kenner, Louisiana and was born on March 4th, if you want to celebrate when the day comes around. I graduated from Bonnabel High School with the class of 1995. Then, I left my home state to attend the University of South Alabama in Mobile. There, I graduated with a BS degree in meteorology in May of 1999 with honors. I would like to send a special thanks to all of my classmates and professors in the Coastal Weather Research Center for all of their help, advice, and memories. The day before my college graduation, I was married to my wife Sheila. Talk about a big weekend. The next week we both moved to Edmond, Oklahoma where I began my career as a consulting meteorologist for a company called WeatherBank, Inc. While in Oklahoma, I was blessed and baptized while attending Quail Springs Baptist Church. After completing my second BS degree in Computer Science in December of 2001 at the University of Central Oklahoma, I moved back to Mobile. After working as a computer programmer for the EDI services department at a company called The SSI Group for 2 years, I am now employed for Teledyne Continental Motors. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my beautiful red-headed wife, enjoying worship and fellowship at Spring Hill Baptist Church, messing around on the computer, bowling, keeping track of the weather, and watching the occasional episode of Star Trek. On December 29, 2005 Shela and I experienced the birth of our first child, Ryan Jesse. |
