Other favourite Cars

Although we are the proud owners of a couple of Italian beauties, one has to keep something to wish for! Of course there's more to life than cars but still....

On this page we reserved some space for other cars that we like. Most of them Italian, most of them not within our budget and all of them special! These cars are mentioned in no particular order.

We start off with an Alfa Romeo: The Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato! If you keep in mind when this car was introduced, you have to admit that it was way ahead of its time (apart from being beautiful!), just take a look at the Honda CRX.

Ferrari has to be next. I think that deep inside most Alfisti are Ferrari adepts too! The list of wonderful Ferrari's is too long to show them all, but a couple of them have to be brought into the spotlight (I know that it's far from complete):

Ferrari 250 (in various shapes)

Ferrari 348 TB/TS

Ferrari F355

It has nothing to do with Italy or Italian cars. Most german cars are quality cars but very boring. There has to be one big exception:

Porsche 911

Maybe you've noticed my (Frank) subjective view on cars that aren't from Italy (for that matter, Hille is a lot more objective but he has to be! His car is german). So we go right back to Italy! In the sixties a factory that used to build tractors started building sportscars (a logical step):

Lamborghini Countach

This is more an UFO than a car!

There is another Alfa Romeo that has to appear on this page. It's based on the 75/Milano and has a 3 litre engine. It's called SZ (a very historical name) and was designed by Zagato. Very well known for its uncompromising designs!

Alfa Romeo SZ

I'm still looking for better pictures of the SZ!

I'm starting to see a pattern here! The next car I want to introduce is also an Alfa Romeo:

Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale

I think only 18 were build!
