Heinrich Himmler's Presentation PPK

This is a post-war copy of Heinrich Himmler's engraved presentation PPK. Notice on the grip frame the date of manufacture instead of a serial number, 9.Nov.1944. This image is very slightly larger than actual size. It is 24kt gold plated, one-of-a-kind, and I have no idea what it's worth. What gives the pistol away is the cut at the front of the slide. This is the gracefull undercut used on prototype PPK's and post-war models. The war-time PPK's had a very sharp, 90 degree angle cut on the front bottom of the slide. It is however still very nice work. I sure wouldn't mind owning it

Heinrich Himmler was the head of the SS(Schutz Staffel), a ruthless organization that spread terror throughout Europe in the 1930's and 1940's. Before he became famous as the head of this terror organization, he was a mild mannered chicken farmer and had a degree in horticulture. The SS included the Waffen SS, or "armed SS", and the Gestapo. He has also been described by his daughter as a very kind and gentle man. It's hard to believe those words in the aftermath of Nazism.
