:  Agriculture group

In 1998 winter I was sent by the Thai government to be one of the participating youths in the FP21C : Agriculture group. All of my batch friends were from the agricultural field such as agriculturer , university instructor in agriculture or any career concerned. After we had a training course in D'ma Pavillion hotel Bangkok for a week , we flew to Tokyo by the Japan airlines. And from that time..our adventure in Japan started!!!

When we arrived Japan , we stayed at the TYC (Tokyo Youth Center) for a week. Main schedule were orientation , studying about Japan culture , way of life and especialy the neccessary Japanese language for daily life. After class , we always had time to go out for something called "Tokyo surviving"!!! Almost every day that I went to Shinjuku , Akihabara , Shibuya and etc.

One of our favorit activities in Tokyo is the interction with local youth. Each Py will accompany with 2 local youths and went around Tokyo together for Japanese way of life studying. I met Satoe Suzuki and Mieko Miyauchi , the lovely and kind local youths who took me to many interesting places. We still be friend until nowaday and we always meet each other every time they visited Thailand or I visited Japan.

The Japanese way of life is very interesting. Tradition and high technology can stay together harmoniously. They conserve nature and culture , and mix to their life. When I walked around Asakusa area, I found that every where was so clean. People was friendly. They did teh best to help us when we lost the way although they can not speack English or we can speak Japanese just a few. (only neccessary words)

One of our mission in Tokyo is moving!
We moved from TYC after stayed for a week of orientation to the Nippon Senenkan. We carried our belonging , made a line walking along the road for 10 minutes to the meeting point with the bus. Walking in the Japanese way of daily life!! But fortunately , weather in Japan is not so hot. Someone said kidding that if we did like this in Bangkok summer , we might be dead before reach the meeting point!!!

Nippon Senenkan is some kind of hotel for youth. It's big and full of neccessary facilities. We stayed 2 persons a room. But after unpack the baggage , we changed our cloths to the Yukata (free service in room) and come to enjoy meeting. That's so fun to see many people who were non-Japanese faces in Yukata like this!
