I am the grand daughter of Bert Dye, brother of Lawrence Dye. Bert was married to Rattie Gayheart (Gearheart?). His brother Lawrence was married to Rattie's sister. They are the sons of Keenis (Keinis?) Dye who was married to Amanda (Mandy) Osborn. Where were Bert, and Lawrence born? Rattie and her sister were the daughters of Richard and Luemma (Moore) Gearheart, Rattie had brother's named Richard, and Greenvile (according to the 1880 census) and other brothers and sisters, (names I don't know, who were born later I was told about). The last known address to me for Bert and Rattie is Spuenen Can, Or Camp Hollor, Orkney, Floyd County, Kentucky.

Looking for a Johnny Goble, brother of Frank and son of "Vinegar" Bill Goble. Family from Brandy Keg. Bill lived at Lancer before his death. Frank moved to and died in Michigan and Johnny the same in Ohio. Johnny had a child out of wedlock with a widow, Betty Dials Harris. Family history is really sketchy. Any info please correspond.
There were several families of Gobles in Cow Creek, Ky, Floyd Co. Cow Creek is located between Allen and Prestonsburg, Ky on old route 23. There were a Samuel and James living there, born abt 1850's with parents. Don't know the parents names. I don't know where these children moved to after they married, but I believe that James moved to Ohio. Also, some of the Mosley's married Gobles around Allen, Ky in Floyd Co.
I need help with the Goble and George families of Floyd County. My G aunt (Evelyn Clarke) married Arthur Goble of Auxier, KY. He died in the early 1960's. Do you have any information on Arthur? I can't find anything so I wondered if Arthur might be his middle name.
I am also related to the George family through Susannah A. George. She married my ggggrandfather, Lorenzo Dow Clark in 1856.
Wondered if you could give me additional information on either Arthur Goble or Susannah George?

The descendancy of my husband (Robert Lee) is Archibald and Sarah Sellards Scalf, Andrew and Phoebe Jane Webb Scalf, Eli and Amanda Julia McGinnis Scalf. I have the same info that you do previous to Arch and Sarah. This is all undocumented info, but what I send you may give you a few clues. I have the parents of Andrew Jack Webb as James and Amanda Burton Webb, James being from Johnson County and Amanda from Carter County. Marriage date 2-4-1869 in Johnson County, KY. Andrew Jack was born abt.1871. I have his siblings, also. Sure hope this is what you are looking for. Do you mind if I ask what state you are in?
