I was born on May 1, 1951 at Beaver Valley Hospital in Martin, Kentucky to Elmon (Ed) Edward Webb and Violet Moore. My birth place was Orkney in Floyd County, Ky. My dad was a coal miner. Soon after, we moved to Kenton, Ohio. Then about the age of 4, we moved to Elkhart, Indiana where we have lived most of our life.
I married David Schlabach on May 3, 1969. Together, we had two children - Marilyn and Gary. We divorced in September of 1978. He passed away on July of 1986 after 2 years of illness, at his home in Mishawaka and was buried at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
I also have other child, Trisha. Her father is Herbert Dale Gibson of Mishawaka. Dale's parents were Roy Gibson and (?), also of Mishawaka. She is married to Robert Holdread and they now have three daughters - Brooklyn, Jessica, and Kaylee.
Marilyn, my oldest daughter, married Thomas Davis on June 10, 1989 at age of 16. They had 3 children - David, Deanne, and Presley. They divorced in November 24, 1997. She also has other child (Tristan) with her new husband, Aaron. They live in Fulton, NY.
Gary, my son, has two daughters - Mary and Sidney.
My Parents
Elmon Edward Webb, my dad, was born on November 13, 1924 in Auxier, Kentucky to Elzie (Pokie) Webb and Angie Goble. He later joined the navy and went to South Pacific. After 3 years of service, he met Violet Moore and married her on April 24, 1950.
He passed away on December 20, 1996 and was buried at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.
Violet Webb, my mom, was born on February 11, 1931 in McDowell, Kentucky to Lenzie Moore and Emma Dye. She was a housewife most of her life until around 1979 when she started working at Red Roof Inn as a main cleaning maid. She retired a few years ago. She is still living.
