Earl Howell

 

Age 74, of Camden, went to his heavenly home on June 15, 2002, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born June 17, 1927, in McDowell, Ky., the son of the late Dee and Polly Howell. On December 23, 1949, in McDowell, Ky., Earl married Gladys Dye. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Camden. He is survived by his wife, of 52 years, Gladys Howell, of Camden; son, Roy Howell and his wife, Cathy of Camden; daughter Sandy Gustin and her husband, Kenneth of Oxford; grandsons, Nathan Howell and Michael Gustin; sisters, Julie Elliott of Piketon, Ohio, and Olive Rose Hall of McDowell, Ky.; brothers, Estill Howell of Liberty, Ky., Claude, Dee Jr., Homer, Eugene, Olvin, and Dallas Howell, all of McDowell, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Earl Michael Howell; brothers, James, Donald, and Abe; and sisters, Hetty, Lucy, and Ruth. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Vitas Hospice for all of their loving care and support. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 20, 2002, at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Ave. at South “D” Street, Hamilton, Ohio, with pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flats Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2002, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
