Synopsis:

    George Banks is a loving father with two children.  But his life goes askew when his daughter returns from Italy and announces she is engaged.  For lack of a better word, George goes crazy, wondering why she should marry and how he is going to afford the expenses.

Miscellaneous:
    Released by Touchstone (a subsidiary of Disney) this was Disney's second film with a character named George Banks.  The first was the father (played by David Tomlinson) in Mary Poppins

    PG for adult situations

My Rating:
    Whether you are getting married or not, everyone can understand the frustration of George here.  It is enjoyable, and Martin Short's take on the French wedding coordinator Frank is hilarious.  I understand it is even more so in the sequel.
