The story takes place in the world called Ivalice, the same world in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. The world in FFXII is independent from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, although the outlook is similar.
In the Valentia continent, a military nation Arcadia Empire and the Rozaria Imperium from the rear continent Ordalia have engaged in wars for many years. One day Arcadia begins to attack the small country Dalmaska Kingdom, which is in the center between the Valentia and Ordalia continents. Ashe is the princess of the Dalmaska Kingdom, the only daughter of the king, she is determined to be the next throne of the kingdom. However, the kingdom is under invasion from the Valentia Empire, she participated in the liberation army to confront the enemies, she started her journey to pursuit the enemy leader and knock down the enemies one after another. Ashe, is a woman who fights severely, yet it is not possible to depress her. She meets one boy named Vaan at this time, her mind began to change gradually, and the meeting of the two people greatly changes the story in this world. Vaan is a thief from the Dalmaska Kingdom, he looks for liberty in the continent. His dream is to fly in the sky as a sky pirate. The two main characters are Van and Ashie, the story is about an adventure on the airship. The game begins in a battle in the jungle, where Van is riding on a dragon. Fran is a woman of the Viera race, she is a reliable person. She has strong fencing and grapple skills. Balflear is a 22 year old Hume, he will play a good part of the story. He is a partner of Fran, and he became Vaan's companion early in the game. There will be many other important but non-playable characters in the game. |
