NOTE: If you have a Windows Mobile 2003 device, the Start menu text will come up white by default (blame Micro$uck...). To fix this, you will need a registry editing program. If you have Pocket PC 2002, the default color is black, and cannot be changed.

To edit the registry manually, click here to download PHM RegEdit (freeware). To change the start menu text, open RegEdit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Color. Click Edit->New Binary Value. Change the Value Name to 39. Place the Hex code for the color you want into the Value Data. Tag two extra zeros onto the end. For example, for red (FF0000), type in FF 00 00 00. I have suggested colors for each theme, but you can use any colors you choose.
