BOBA FETT (FOIL)
Boba Fett's Blaster Rifle (FOIL) - The foil version of this card should read as the normal rare version, ie target is "hit" if destiny > ability, NOT if destiny+1 > ability
They must move every turn, looking for Potiental food. Then they stay at the site that has a non-droids character. This even means toward your own character. And then when they reach your Characters, they realize that you are not Potiental food; the creature does not move from the site, because of the creatures text they basically are eyeing down all the creatures.
If
bombers are on a Bombing Run and Bombing Run is canceled, they must still return
to the related system after the Dark sides next battle phase.
Sites that give +1 to Dark weapon destinies, work with Proton Bombs at the same
site. For example: Armed bombers on a Bombing Run at the Lars' Moisture Farm
would get the weapon destiny bonus.
The Dark side cannot bomb sites protected by the "Hoth Energy Shield Rules."
You may use Sniper with Proton Bombs, but only if all other conditions for firing
the Proton Bombs are met. For example, you must control a system to bomb related
interior locations with Sniper.
If you do not have enough Force to pay for moving your bombers back to the related
system after a Bombing Run battle, then those bombers may remain at the site
of the battle (and provide presence there). You must move them back to the system
on your next turn, though. This means you must keep enough active Force to pay
for the move.
CROSSING OVER
Crossing Over - is Luke With Lightsaber is crossed to the Dark Side he is still capable of using his permanent weapon (as it is simply character game text).
CHALL BEAKEN
If the dark side deploy Chall Bekan as an alien to the Audience Chamber when the light side start with Either Profit From This then Chall Bekan can pull another alien from Reserve as he has just been deployed. It is a legal response to deployment, and he has just been deployed.
CAPTIVES
Frozen captives have no ability. Thus, if both players start with the new EJP objectives the dark side does NOT flip instantly but Han does count as one captive.
Q:Some
of the new cards released today define occupation of X sites as a pre-requisite
to the card's effects taking place. I assume that 'controlling' a number of
sites will also come into play as well. Some of the Jabba's Palace cards did
the same, and I've begun trying to work them into my deck. Am I corect in assuming
that 'occupation' means that I have presence at the site while 'controlling'
means that I have presense at the site and the opponent does not?
A:Correct. You may "occupy" without controlling.
Q:If so, when are these conditions verified?
A:Control is checked continuously, as would occupying.
EXAMPLE:
Scum and Villany. The card reads "Immune to Alter if you control at least 3
Jabba's Palace sites". Does this mean that if I control 3 sites, the Light Side
would be able to deploy (a spy or something if necessary) to one of these sites
- thereby negating my control - and then throw down and Alter to cancel the
effect?
A:If the opponent changed one of the sites from Control to occupy by
deploying something, then SAV could be Altered.
If a light side initiated battle, Obi-Wan gets first action and swings at Retwin. Retwin then uses 3 to hide from the battle and then the battle is over...but Retwin must be forfieted at the end of the battle phase because if he was hit.
Creatures
have no ability, and thus no 'presence.'
Neither 'presence' nor Force icons are required for deployment. Creatures normally
have a landspeed of 1 (like characters), but they have an automatic way of moving
that simulates hunting for food. If there are one or more potential 'meals'
(non-droid characters or other creatures) present, the creature does not move.
Conversely, if there are no potential meals present, the creature must move
(if possible) at the beginning of its owner's move phase. The player controlling
the creature moves it one site in either direction for free (habitat permitting).
Creatures Attacking: If at any time two creatures are at the same
location they immediately attack each other. Their ferocity numbers are compared.
The creature with the lower ferocity number is immediately eaten (lost). If
there is a tie, both creatures are lost.
If at the start of any battle phase a creature is at the same site as
one or more non-droid characters, it automatically attacks. The character to
be attacked is selected randomly (pick up the available candidates and have
the opponent draw one without looking). The creature's ferocity is compared
to the character's power (plus one destiny if the character has 4 or more ability).
If ferocity > power, the character is eaten (lost).
Creatures Being Attacked: During your battle phase, your characters
may attack a creature where you have 'presence' (all your characters there participate
in this attack). This is not considered to be a battle, although you may not
initiate a battle and an attack at the same location in the same turn. Use 1
Force to initiate the attack. Characters may fire their weapons at the creature
(at normal use of the Force). If the creature is 'hit,' it is immediately lost.
Otherwise, calculate your total power (including one destiny if you have 4 or
more ability present). If total power > ferocity + defense value, the creature
is lost. .
DRESSELIAN COMMANDO
Dresselian Commando - A Dresselian adds one destiny to total power, not their own personal power.
"Spaceport Speeders may be played at same site. Once per game, may do one of the following: activate 1 Force when you deploy a droid OR retrieve 1 Force when you deploy an astromech to a starfighter."
If it is not possible to make a destiny draw (e.g., because your Reserve Deck is empty), that destiny draw fails (is resolved in the favor of the opponent, often meaning the action that required the destiny draw has no result).
With The Starting Interrupt "Don't Tread on Me" you can get ONE or all of those cards. It can even been 2.
EMBARKING
Embarking - While aboard another starship, a starfighter is considered to be
landed. A pilot character (or permanent pilot) aboard that starfighter, is considered
to be piloting the starfighter only for the purpose of disembarking that starfighter
from the capital ship A vehicle being held in the "cargo bay" of a starship
cannot utilize any of its game text excepting text related to capacity, and
the identity and ability of its permanent pilot (if any). Characters aboard
that vehicle are not considered to be piloting or driving any vehicle.
Q:If
an EPP character is Disarmed and later has a Bionic Hand deployed on them, may
they retain and use their weapon?
A:Yes. Disarmed is lost, so the weapon comes back.
Q:May an EPP character use their weapon if the following situation occurs,
but Bionic Hand is lost (e.g., with Concussion Grenade)?
A:Yes.
Q:If Bane Malar mindscans HWHBP, may he use Han's Blaster? It is after
all, included in HWHBP's GT...
A:No, since they don't have the weapon.
Q:Question
for Mark: if you use this card after they deploy Dengar or Bossk to reduce Han
or Chewie's forfeit, does it do anything? Or does Dengar or Zuckuss' gametext,
since it's continuous, immediately kick in again?
A:Their gametext is continuous. This card is more for lightsaber hits,
etc.
During your control phase, glance at opponent¹s hand and target one non-Interrupt card you find there that has a deploy cost < total number of [Light Side Force] icons on table. Opponent must deploy target by the end of your next turn, or it is lost (if still in hand).
Floating
Refinery - Errata:
The title of this Device has been revised to read, "**Floating Refinery"; thus,
it is now restricted (**).
Deploy on a cloud sector (limit one per sector). Force you activate may be drawn
into hand (one per turn for each of your Floating Refineries on table). Each
cloud sector or gas miner drawn in this way may be revealed to retrieve 1 Force.
IG-88
IG-88 In IG-2000 cannot be used to probe as he does not provide ability.
IG-88 With Riot Gun cannot be attacked when alone as he provides no presence (even when escorting a captive). However, if he initiates battle alone he may add one battle destiny despite not providing ability of 4. According to a previous ruling, this should not be allowed however an exception has been made in the case of ECC IG-88.
HOLONET TRANSMISSION
Holonet Transmission - The unlimited version of this card should read as the limited version, ie an Imperial should be taken from the Used Pile and NOT the Reserve Deck.
The part of these rules that prevents the Dark Side from deploying under the shield is not considered a "location deployment restriction." Therefore, Cane Adiss (deployed before the shield goes up) does not permit deployment through the shield. This reverses an earlier ruling.
Hidden
Base - Errata:
(front) Deploy Rendezvous Point. Place a planet system (with a parsec
number from 1 to 8) from Reserve Deck face down on your side of table (not in
play); that card indicates the planet where your "Hidden Base" is located. While
this side up, once during each of your deploy phases, may deploy one system
from Reserve Deck; reshuffle. Opponent loses no more than 1 Force from each
of your Force drains at systems and sectors. Flip this card any time after you
have deployed five battleground systems and your "Hidden Base" system.
(back) While this side up, to draw a card from Force Pile, opponent must
first use 1 Force. For each battleground system you control, you may cancel
one opponent's Force drain (limit twice per turn). You may not deploy any systems.
At each system opponent occupies during any deploy phase, opponent may 'probe'
there by placing one card from hand face down beneath that system. Place out
of play if "Hidden Base" system is 'probed;' Dark Side places 'probe' cards
in Used Pile (and may retrieve 1 Force for each Probe Droid used to 'probe').
Control is a valid response to the declaration of the Ice Storm. Thus, Ice Storm never hits the table.
If
Chall Bekan is Deployed or Scum and Villian is Deployed and it says -1for all
your aliens. How does that apply to Jawa's?
Well Jawa's game text says that it cost one force from each player. But now
it is -1(from each player)....thats right with Jawa's it would cost 1-1 from
each player making it FREE.
MASTER LUKE
Master Luke - His text works only on aliens. You may not Noble Sacrifice him if a power 6 Vader is deployed opposite as his power instantly reduces to 4.
MARA JADE
Mara Jade - This alien/imperial does not cancel Scum And Villainy.
Q:Is
the deploy -2 for Yoda only, or for Luke too?
A:Just for Yoda.
Q:Can
an unoccupied Sandcrawler with a Magnetic Suction Tube use the MST to suck up
a character?
A:You don't need a driver aboard the sandcrawler to use a Magnetic Suction
Tube..
Q:If
the (LS) controls (LS) Bespin and my opponent deploys a stormtrooper to the
incinerator where he has Admiral Motti(an Imperial of ability >2) What is the
deploy cost of the stormtrooper?
A:The deploy is still free. "Free" is unmodifiable.
The Cards M'iiyoom Onith and Oola use a small "or" not all Capitals like in other cards. So it does means BOTH male aliens and rebels, imperials, that are unique in the opponents hand.
operatives
- You may not voluntarily deploy or move your operative to a location on its
matching planet where you already have an operative of the same card title.
(If this somehow occurs involuntarily, you must choose one to be lost).
Your operative character on its matching planet may not apply its ability toward
drawing battle destiny. Also, your operative may not control a location on its
matching planet for any reason unless you have other cards with total ability
of 1 or higher at that location. Your operatives still occupy that location
(and may battle or be battled), but may not Force drain or flip the objective
alone.
PERMANENT WEAPON
Permanent Weapon - If the game text of a character with a permanent weapon is cancelled or suspended (e.g. using ECC 4-LOM), that character is still considered to be in possession of the weapon that is specified within the character's game text (although that character is incapable of using the weapon's text).
Hoth Replacement Rules say that whatever is replacing must have power and ability equal to or higher than the card being replaced and follow deployment restrictions. So, they can both replace each other, except that Capt. Han can only do it while HWHBP is on the Falcon or on Cloud City. As of right Now Decipher is Saying that the persona rule is a replacement, not a Deployment. So any cards that refer to Deployment; would not effect Replacment. The Example is the Card:"I must be allowed to speak", will not allow you to use the Persona rule.
Q:When
a LS characters is defeated by the Rancor in the JP:Rancor Pit can LS play WHAAAAAOOOW!
so that instead of being 'eaten' that character is 'hurled' (relocated) to an
adjacent site? Is this possible or will the Pit's DS game text take precedence
and prevent this Unlimited Move?
A:The text on the Pit DOES overrule this. You may not move from the pit,
period.
A
Special Delivery can only be performed once per period of captivity for any
captive.
Thus, once Dark Side has Specially Delivered a character, Dark Side cannot special deliver that character again unless the character escapes/is released and is subsequently re-captured.
Q:When
S-Foils has been altered, do the effects of S-Foils linger until the following
turn?
A:No, when the effect is canceled, it's benefits are canceled as well.
Q:If
I use Scum and Vill. as my Starting Effect, Do I get the -1 Deploy bonus from
the beginning?
A:No, you only get the bonus when you have an initial character that
meets the requirments on the table.
Dark
Side says Scanning Crew.
LS says Shocking Info.
DS lose four force.
LS says Sense Scanning Crew.
Can this be done? .......THE ANSWER IS YES
WITH
With - Unless specifically noted otherwise, any battle destiny modifier (or battle destiny canceller) that is dependent on two or more characters being "with" each other cannot be initiated unless all of those characters are participating in the battle.
