OFFICIAL REHERSAL JUST STARTED - The official rehersal just started and the hosts came on stage wearing coats and taking them off whislt walking on stage. They are wearing colourfull clothers..red and yellow. The first five songs have just been performed, Lynn Chircop looks very well during her performance though it looked as if she was a bit tired most probably due to the Mediterranean party yesterday. The stage looks very warm and colourful, one of the best staged ever for ESC. |
RUSSIAN DUO ONCE AGAIN TREAT ESC AS A FARSE - The Russian duo t.A.T.U. just had their performance on stage during the rehersal and for the first time I ever remember the whole rehersal was stopped. This occured after the first three word of the song when the girls shouted STOP. When the song once again restarted they didn't sing as they should ahhve and instead spent a lot of time just laughing on stage. A lot of booing was going on in the audience. |

| 23-05-2003 T.A.T.U.'s JULIA IN HOSPITAL - The Russian Duo t.A.T.U. is again hitting the headlines as it is reported that Julia was today taken to hospitel a few moments just after the rehersal. It has been reported that she has some throat problems. It is not yet sure if she will be able to sing during the final night of the contest. In the meantime a substitute arrived in Riga just in case Julia doesn't recover. Her name is Katja, a 17 year old from Tallin Estonia. Yesterday night during the 2nd rehersal instead of a duo we saw a solo. |
| 24-05-2003 EUROVISION DAY!!! - After long months awaiting the Eurovision Song contest, finally Eurovision day is TODAY!! All major Newspapers from all over the world have reported today an article regarding the Song Contestt. The schedule for today in Riga is a hectic one. In a few moments the last full show rehersal which will be in front of an audience will begin. After that the next scheduled event is the much awaited final night. After the show a big party will take place. |

| TURKEY WINS 2003 EUROVISION |

| Turkey won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest organised in Riga Latvia today, 24 May 2003. Sertab Erener and her backing vocalists/dacers gave the best performance of the night and the European public awarded them with a well deserved win for Everyway That I Can. Second came Belgium with another great song SANOMI and third the contoversial t.A.T.U for Russia. Unfortunately Malta's Lynn ended up in 25th place, which means that next year Malta might not be in the final night of the Eurovision Song Contest in Turkey. I believe that this bad result from Malta was achieved due to the high level of songs this year, Malta also sang right exactly after the stunning Turkish performance. A quite Lynn seemed a little bit stressed during her performance but then geared up towards the end. Still I am sure that the Maltese are proud of Lynn, the Maltese ambassador at this year's ESC..a full Post Mortem of ESC will be added shortly. |
