WoodWorking

These are a few of the small items that I learned to make in my wood shop. I made table and mirror combinations, Hall mirrors, small tables and a lot of jewelry boxes.

I bought all kinds of saws, routers, planers, drills, etc.. While making a fishing rod rack, one day, I cut the end of my thumb off and haven't spent much time in the shop since then.

I favored the exotic woods, walnut, hard maple, cherry and mahogany. I occasionally used red and white oak, but seldom as these woods are grainy and I would rather have a smooth wood with fine grain, and oak has to be stained and the other woods that I used only needed a finish coat of clear polyurethane.

The one on the left is a Chip N Dale mirror.

On the right is the table/mirror combination.
