About the Websphere Tail PlugIn

This is a Java Tail application which works like the Unix Tail.   This can work as a plug in for WSAD 4.0.

• The application will print the tail end of the file ( default 50 lines) and keep printing only the tail end lines, as and when the file is updated
• This can be used to look into the trace / log files of applications.
• Since the Application written in Java,  it can work in any OS (like Windows , Solaris , Linux ) supported by Java.
• Window Look and Feel can be changed
• The Tail file size could be changed
• Tail Font Size, type can be changed

Installation and Usage

Step I
Download and UNZIP Websphere_Plugin_Tail_Version_1.0.zip IN TO the Plugins Location. 
ie. WSAD Installation / Plugins Folder.

In my Machine the path is like the following
D:\Program Files\ibm\Application Developer\plugins

Step II
Start Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD)

Step III
Open Perspective --> Show View --> Other --> 
You will See --> Tail --> DOUBLE_CLICK ON --> Open_Tail
