| I was born with the gift of healing. A tradition and gift passed down through the generations in my family. Today the term is called Curanderismo. I have learned many things on my path in life, and have to come to understand that this gift is one I should share with the world around me, both for the development of others in their journeys, and mine. | Spirituality is different for every person. Whether you are "religious" or not, you can be a spiritual person. For spirituality has nothing to do with "GOD" but with your personal understanding and relationship with the world around you, both seen and unseen. My spirituality therefore is my own, and what I discuss here is an extension of myself. Maybe you can learn something from my journey, and if you write to me, I may learn something from yours. |
| This is the Mayan Crown that was placed on the heads of those "two-spirits" who healed and cured their people. Two-Spirits were worshipped as being closer to "God" because they contained characteristics that were both male and female, and thus the dualistic properties they held were worshipped by the Mayan people who believed thier Gods were both masculine and feminine. |

| Cultures all around the world have trusted in the power of spirituality. Religions have been born from the idea of the soul, and it's evolution. The Native Americans believed in Shamanism and how the soul can heal others, and many cultures have spun tales of the magical creatures that exist in nature who can aid us in our growth. What is certain is that there is magic in our our world and our individual journeys will hopefully lead us to their discovery. |
