ernie6.jpg Hi again, I believe we have already met,as you know I am Ernie. Below me is my love, Kiwi.

And Welcome To Ernie's Love Nest!

We are known as Quaker Parrots or Monk Parakeets. I dont think I look like a monkey, do you? I prefer Quaker myself. We can be seen flying wild in certain areas. We can make a bit of noise as we fly overhead. Quakers can live up to 30 years old if we have the proper care and diet.

NOTE: Just remember, if you do decide to get a feathered friend like Kiwi or myself, we do tend to be a bit noisy at times. A lot of humans do not think about that when they buy a bird and end up getting rid of us when the noise starts. Quakers bond to one person only when they are a new family member, so being gotten rid of is hard on a bird's feelings. And when the new stranger buy's the "recycled" bird, they cant understand why this new bird is biting them. It is because we miss our other humans.

kiwi2 As you can see, Kiwi is not quite right. She spends all of her time upside down! She even walks on the top of her cage this way. I really do not think that anyone rotated her egg before she hatched. Do not let Kiwi throw you, Quaker Parrots are really very smart birds! And we can learn to speak quite cleary. I myself have a very large vocabulary. Enough of that! You will learn how to hand raise and give total care to baby birds. I will cover getting started, hand feeding supplies, hand feeding sessions and step by step hand feeding instructions. Now Lets get started!
