THE GARDEN OF DELIGHTFUL IMAGES

my garden of delightful images.
i wish to share my love of art.  the brotherhood of pre-raphaelites in particular.
the pre-raphaelites were a group of rebelious artist working during the height of the victorian era.  though they often met with harsh criticism by such people as charles dickens they still produced some of the most lasting images in art history.    their precise attention to natural detail should be noted.
while i am not limiting my pages to only pre-raphaelite art,  this is a celebration of their lasting contribution to the art world.

these two pieces are by sir frank dicksee.  the above is called miranda,  the one to the left is romeo and juliette.  the other images on this page are also by dicksee, but i am afraid i do not know the titles of them.  remiss of me i know.

i do know the title of the one to the right, it is called: la belle sans merci.  there is a lovely piece of poetry about her.  i will see if i can find it and post it.
