Ray Harryhausen at the Dendy Cinema, Martin Place, Sydney.
Mr Harryhausen gave an extremely interesting lecture about his career and showed us models from his classic films "Jason and the Argonauts" and "The Adventures of Sinbad".
After the lecture a digitally remastered "Jason" was shown in the cinema. Cool !!!
I am a professional artist based in Murwillumbah, Australia.
I have a wide range of experience in both the fine art and commercial art fields,
with an emphasis on action figure drawing and imaginative painting.
I initially studied drawing (mainly figurative) with well known Queensland artist David Paulson, and then full time at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney, graduating with the Diploma of Fine Art.
I taught figure drawing for several years at the Waverley Wollahra Arts Centre,
(Bondi Rd), and at same time was involved in the Sydney self-published comic book scene.
I
got into computers and digital art in 1999, and set up the original Fine
Art School . Com site as a free online art school and gallery.
In 2002 I gained my Master of Arts degree in Visual Arts from Queensland
College of Arts (Griffith Uni).
I work in traditional media (pencil, pen, oils and acrylic) as well as
using graphics software and my Wacom digitizing pen and tablet (dont tell
me you can draw with a mouse!).
I pride myself on providing a very professional service- top quality artwork,
to deadlines, and at a reasonable price.
