Evil wears many masks in this world, but none so dangerous as the mask of righteousness. The American Family Association (AFA) is a group of Christian Fundamentalists who have come together in a common belief that the world we live in has been corrupted by immorality. They have decided to fight back against this corruption by trying to re-instate the "proper" religious morals given to us by the Bible. These moral views are narrow minded in the extreme and are often full of hate and prejudice. They often voice their beliefs that abortion is wrong, that homosexuality is a sin, that separation of church and state is a violation of their rights, that the media isn't biased enough in favour of Christianity and much more. The more I read articles from their website (http://www.afa.net) the more angry and horrified I become. So why do I keep going to their site? It's like a train wreck. I don't want to see, but I can't turn away. I was thinking of ranting about them in my Rant and Roar section, but there is just far too much that I have to say. That's why I have created this section. Every so often, I will chose an article from their website and analyze it. I don't know if they store their articles on their website or if they remove them after time, so you might encounter some broken links.

'Life' refuses to end graphic violence, nudity and swearing.

The source of all the indecency and immorality in the universe was finally discovered yesterday by Pastor Bob Jones of the Christ Community Church in New Mexico. Jones, who claims that an organization called Life is responsible for all evils in existence, said the realization came to him suddenly during an intense prayer session. According to Jones, Life has been promoting and helping evil for centuries. "We always just assumed Life was creating good things like puppies and hugs. How wrong we were," Jones said sadly. 'Life', an organization which gives existence to countless morally questionable groups and criminal organizations including rapists, thieves, gays, homeless people, evolutionists, pornographers, sex-crazed teenagers, muggers and K-mart workers, has refused to respond to any and all AFA protests. These protests, which started moments after the discovery was made, have gone completely unheeded.
"Life seems to be concerned only with corrupting our children and spreading evil at any and all costs!" said Heather Brock, a Christian from Ohio who immediately took up the cause against Life as soon as another Christian told her it was bad. In the mere 24 hours which followed the discovery, Brock had already sent 3,405 letters to the creator of the organization, known simply as 'God'. Despite rampant rumors that God promotes tolerance and morality, Brock remains convinced that he is the source of all evils through his creation of Life. "This person obviously doesn't care one bit about children. When I was walking down the street yesterday, I actually heard one man use the 'F'-word! Any being who would create an organization which would let this sort of thing happen in public where children can hear certainly isn't tolerant or moral!" Brock said angrily as she began tuning her radio to the Dr Laura Schlessinger show.
Donald E. Wildmon, president of the AFA, is shocked at the lack of response from God and from Life. "It's been a full day since we've began our protests and Life still hasn't stopped the graphic violence, nudity and swearing." Despite organizing countless letter writing sessions, prayer groups, and KKK meetings, it seems Wildmon and all the dedicated Christians who have committed themselves to stopping Life's evils have been unsuccessful in even getting the organization's attention.
Until Life stops giving existence to immoral people and groups, the AFA is calling for a complete boycott of Life. Yes, it's true that the Life organization still does produce some quality people and activities, like loving parents, laughing and blinking. However, make no mistake about it: When dad is sitting there laughing and blinking with his five-year-old daughter, he is also giving his support to the same organization that is responsible for murder and atheists. A boycott - including even their good products - is the only way to impact the organization.
The AFA is pleased to recommend a Christian alternative to Life called Death. Death is an organization which upholds morality and decency by refusing to provide existence to immoral people, groups, and activities. Until Life cleans up its act, we suggest getting your family and friends to switch to Death.
