Horses for Sale or Lease

The Equi-librium Program creates a balanced, forward moving, athletic horse that is calm, relaxed, and ready to excel in any discipline. The program also trains and educates the horseperson to ride with correct body position and light hands.

What is Equi-librium?

  1. Complete training of horse and rider.
  2. Classical Dressage and Natural Horsemanship combine to create a comprehensive training program.
  3. Mental, emotional, and physical conditioning of both horse and rider.
  4. A progressive program. Initially the horse receives three sessions a week with the trainer plus one private lesson with the rider. As horse and rider improve the sessions increase to two sessions per week for the horse with the trainer and two private lessons with the rider. In the final stages the horse receives one session per week with the trainer and two private lessons per week with the rider.

What Makes Equi-librium Different from Other Training Programs?

Standard Dressage programs focus entirely on the physical aspects of riding and athletic development of the horse.

Natural Horsemanship programs focus on the natural behavior patterns of the horse and ways that humans can understand these patterns and communicate more effectively with their horses. These programs teach herd behavior, horse psychology, and how to work with your horse on the ground and teach them to be calmer, less fearful, and more comfortable with the human as the leader. Students are also taught how to ride on a loose rein, with one rein, and, in time, bridleless.

Both programs are very valuable. Equi-librium combines these two programs by using the physical development that Dressage provides to create a balanced, forward moving horse that is calm and relaxed due to Natural Horsemanship training. This results in a horse that is successful in any discipline as well as an educated horseperson that uses correct body position and light hands to communicate with their horse.
