Which services does the Educational Opportunity Center provide?

1. Assistance with the admissions process and financial aid forms for any school;
2. Information on two-year and four year colleges;
3. Career exploration and interest inventory services;
4. Information on scholarships, grants and student loans;
5. Referral to GED and ESL programs;
6. Academic, financial, and personal advising.

What is the Educational Opportunity Center?

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and sponsored by Colorado State University that assists primarily adults in furthering their education.

Who is eligible to use our FREE services?

Most participants are adults aged nineteen or over, although the program may also provide certain services to selected youth where similar services do not already exist.
In compliance with Federal guidelines, at least two-thirds of all participants must be both limited-income and first generation individuals. First generation means that neither parent has obtained a bachelor's degree.

Where is the Educational Opportunity Center located?

The Educational Opportunity Center's community outreach offices serve Adams County and the Denver community of Montbello through its office in Commerce City. In addition, Larimer County is served through its office in Fort Collins, and Weld County through its office in Greeley. The Administrative office for the Educational Opportunity Center can be found on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
