 The  main aim of this project is to help students to write a paragraph .             

* The objectives of the project are :

      Stage 1 :

        1. To distinguish the different parts of speech ( nouns , verbs ,

             adjectives , adverbs).

       2.  To study and use the correct  form of the verb ( tenses )

       3. To distinguish simple sentences .

4.     To describe a picture  using simple sentences .

  Stage 2: 

      1. To  distinguish  joining words as : and , but  and or.

        2.  To distinguish between simple sentences and  compound sentences

      3.  To join  two sentences using joining words .

      4.  To describe  a picture using joined sentences ( compound )

Stage 3:   

      1. To understand what is meant by  linking words .

      2. To distinguish between a  compound sentence and complex sentence .

      3. To use  clauses of condition , concession , reason and result .

      4. To describe  a picture using complex sentences.

 

 

Stage 4:  

 

     1. To build up a paragraph describing something they did in which they apply consequence . ( time element )

    2. To write a paragraph from a given sentences in which they  practice  and

       emphasize coherence .( arrange sentences to make a paragraph)

    3. To write a paragraph  giving instruction on doing something  for example  making tea etc.

    4.  To write a paragraph in which they compare between two pictures or two

         situations ( differences and similarities)

Procedure :

      1. The  participant will be divided into four groups and each group will be

         given a different task which they will send by email to other participant .

   2. Each participant will study the material they get by email and do the related

       task.

   3. A meeting will be held  in each school ( teacher and students ) to discuss

       what they accomplished  and what other groups in the other schools have

        done.

  4. Contact other schools groups and discuss the development of the project.

** Every week , a meeting with the students will be held and the task each group has done will be discussed and  an email will be sent to the participant from other groups giving them the result of what has been done and reply the emails have been received from them .

      ** The work  of other schools will be given to students to study it , discuss it and give their remarks on it .

At the end of the project , all students will be asked to write  the same paragraph they have written at the beginning of the project and teachers will evaluate the extent to which the project has develop their writing activity .

Notes :

1. before starting the project  , a workshop will be held with the students  on which they will  practice using the  net to look for  information , using email , forwards and replying emails .

2. After finishing stages 1--3  another meeting will be held with all participants  discussing the developments up to now and deciding on what to do next stage

3. When finish stage 4 a complete assessments will be done  to decide the extent to which the students ability to write a paragraph  has been achieved.
