Things ENI 8
Nakahilak diay tong usa nato ka maestro sa sobra nato ka langasan unya nasakpan pa gyud ta niya nga gabraso sa iyang lamesa, with his famous words, "Dili ni brasohan ning akong table!"
There was this college TOMBOY student who sometimes puts socks inside her panty so that there will be a "bulge" in front of her maong pants.
My first crush happened in our first year. She was chubby, perhaps, fat. I tried to approach her and befriend her several times, luckily, she had a crush at that time on another guy who happens to be my classmate so I did not have a chance to tell her of my feelings for her. After classes, we usually sit in circles at the grassfield in front of the library. She was like a grasshopper going from one circle group to another and I was also like a grasshopper chasing her, to no avail.  I can only smile whenever I remember those moments, my first "lucky heartache".  Sometimes, I try to recall her identity, but I could never recall her name, not even her face.  Perhaps that's what we call "Puppy Love".
In our Biology class, we were tasked to count all organisms we saw in a one square meter area. And so we spent the whole exercise chatting about anything under the sun and just invented the numbers when we were called back to the laboratory to submit our report...
I remember in our Laboratory, we subjected the small letter "e" taken from the newspaper. To our surprise, it is not all-black, it has many "empty spaces" not covered by black ink contrary to what we see by our naked eyes..
We all know nga serious kaayo si Ms Manso during her class. Pero ninggawas gyud ang iyang pagkasiaw during the recitation of the Chemical Table of Elements. When it was James' turn, she asked him what is the chemical symbol of LEAD to which James promptly, proudly and smilingly answered Pb.
We had an essay exam. We included lyrics of songs we knew. Result? Perfect score! Laban ka?
We had an excursion during our second year sa Valencia - the little Baguio. We had fun with the cool climate and taking a dip at the very cool spring water. Camp Lookout ba tong atong giadtoan?
One of the most memorable moments in my high school life was when my girlfriend kissed me in the lips without me asking for it. Of course I returned the favor and gave her a lot more...
Summer pa lang going into third year, ako ng gikabisado ug memorize ang Chemical Table of Elements. Unfortunately, nag-blackout ko sa recitation and gave the wrong Chemical Symbol.  Duhh...
On our group, it started to happen in Rizal Park, near the "U". We got carried away and it led to another, we proceeded to the old abandoned wooden house beside the Municipal Hall in front of the Diaz mansion. We communicated in whispers or soft voices and were always on the lookout because as we joked, "the municipal jail is just a stone's throw away".
Our first encounter with the opposite kind happened in the grassy area in Osmena Park. Of course, it happened in the evening, we were in circle, we were excited but always on the lookout for fear that a policeman might notice us.
Please keep my identity secret.  I know that during our High School, a love affair happened between our instructor and instructress.  My barkada knows about this top-secret affair.
This was really funny story about my friend and the gay who was in love with him.  The gay pursued my friend starting on our first year until the fourth year but he never succeeded in "winning" him.   Maybe the news did not reach the gay that another gay succeeded in having a short time with my friend.  I should know because I was also with them in that adventurous night at the dark stairs in the elementary school. Of course, me and my partner were in another secluded part.  If only the gay knew about that incident, he could have declared "World War 3" against the "winning" gay. Ha! Ha!  Don't publish my name because the identity of my friend and the "losing gay" would surely be identified. We did it only for adventure and for some drinking and dating funds.
Boys, you are so unfair. How could you demand that we women should be virgins when in fact you are no longer virgins?
There was this girl who became a beauty queen.  Everytime we met, she was always smiling at me and would even say something nice. It was always like that and it made me suspect that she likes me. That puzzled me however because I am not the type that she would probably like. That puzzlement led me to consult my friend and it was a good thing I did that. His advice? "Ayaw na siya ug seryosoha kay ga-PR na siya para makakuha ug daghang palakpak inig apil niya sa mga sunod pang dagko nga beauty pageants."
I will always remember Mrs. Arriola as ENI faculty's fashion icon then.  Despite her age (wala na siyay tango adto and she refuses to use her false teeth kay ngilohan kuno siya), she's a sight to see walking elegantly, in high heels, walking elegantly from the gate passing by the blooming cherry blossoms unya tangtangon niya iyang scarf when we acknowledge her beauty.
"Class, it was Andres Bonifacio who FOUNDED the Katipunan!!!"  Mao dayon nay syagit ning Jings pakapinan pa ug hapak sa table to startle his students. Kay ang uban lagi nga kulang pa sa English vocabulary, ang nahibal-an is the word FIND unya ang past tense is FOUND.  Unya ngano mang gihimo pa man gyud nga FOUNDED?  Pagkahuman ug ngislit ning Jings, iya nang i-explikar nga ang rootword is FOUND gyud diay.
Another favorite word ni Jings is "MACHINATIONS" (ma-ki-nay-shuns)  nga iya pang isulat sa board nga galantaw siya sa reaction sa iyang mga students kay ang naandan lagi is MACHINES (ma-shins).  To his credit man pud, iya pud nga i-explain sa iyang mga students ang meaning as an addition to their vocabulary.
Kay naandan lagi nga kung ang ngalan magatapos sa "o" - lalaki and kung "a" - babayi, Mr. Andrews asked the class to give a name of a man that ends with an "a". Tindog dayon ang usa dayon tubag, "Sir, how about AGA?" Mr. Calumpang, "That's just a nickname. Kana jung tinuod nga ngalan."
Mr Calumpang: "When the clock chimes ten times, it means 10 o'clock. When it chimes thirteen times, what time is it?" Student: "Sir, it's time to repair the clock."
