This
program is open to all high school students including
students with disabilities. Scholarship recipients
will be provided with round trip travel from their home to
the United States and back, and an allowance for living
expenses. They will be covered by medical insurance.
Special accommodations will be made for testing students
with physical disabilities. Over 120 disabled students
have already studied in the US on this program.
Students
who pass Round One (a short English test) will be invited
to Round Two, a comprehensive English test and written
essay. Only applicants who pass Round Two will receive
application materials and will be interviewed.
Testing
will take place in many regional centers on designated
days beginning in September-October.
The
competition is open and all interested 9th and 10th
graders from large and small cities and villages who meet
the following criteria may participate:

Hold Russian citizenship;
Ё
Were born between 1 January 1988 and 15 July 1989;
Ё
Study English in school;
Ё
Have good or excellent grades;
Student
with disabilities who are currently studying in the
9th,10th, or 11th grade and were born between 1 January
1986 and 15 July 1987 may also participate in the
competition. If you are younger, keep this issue of EfKA,
and participate the next year — the competition takes
place every year.
In
order to participate in the competition a student must
bring:

your birth certificate or passport,
·
one recent photo 3x4 cm,
·
a pen.
