Or the loss of habitiat that resulted from the industrial buildings that pieced together the electronic components. Or the hydrocarbons resulting from the massive network of road systems that brought them to our local communities. Or the acres of blacktop needed to support the umpteen gazillion retail stores in as many strip malls from which they were purchased (the word for the day is .. sarcasm).
