Throughout kindergarden and elementary school, AYA was a mischeivious boy who had no interest in music whatsoever. When he became a junior highschool student, he began to gain interest in music little by little through the influence of his friends, and before he realized it, music had gone right into his heart and soul. At the end of his second year in junior high, he bought a guitar at the suggestion of a friend (in those days, AYA had an acoustic guitar). The next year, he received an electric guitar from his uncle, and the original form of the guitarist AYA we know was complete.
AYA safely graduated from junior highschool and entered highschool, but he began to start skipping school for reasons such as "studying is boring and school doesn't allow you to grow your hair long." In November of that year, he quit school. "When I quit, I went to school in my regular clothes* and it was nice being showered with everyone's attention (laughs)," says AYA. For awhile he idly spent his time, but then he found a specialty school which he entered at once. There he was invited to make a band. The band was "Blue-B." AYA says, "My school attendance was perfect in those days, but after starting the band I couldn't go."** And so, because of the band, AYA ended up graduating without attending his classes. Blue-B was active for three years, and he gained many experiences during that time. However, after awhile performing in Blue-B lost its appeal for AYA and so he decided to leave. There were probably many fans who were suprised at the sudden news. Even more cruel, Blue-B decided that they would disand on October 15, 2000. And then, in February of 2001, a phone call from KAMIJO of LAREINE rang... *students in japanese schools usually wear uniforms to school, but AYA wore his regular clothes instead of his uniform **he means to say that he couldn't go because of time committment to the band |
