The bulk of this site tries, as much as possible, to allow students to discover mathematical concepts through investigations. In a way, the materials are also meant to assist teachers in conducting Mathematical experiments in a Constructivist Classroom or simply to exercise your mind and have some fun with the puzzles and games. These pages were initiated after only some years of teaching with technology, learned through courses but mostly self-study, and as such there are still limitations to what I can and want to create. It is my intention to upgrade myself further and update this site as I progress. I'm always open for comments and discussions on how I can improve this site. It is also my intention to inject some fun throughout this site. So, without further ado, please answer the survey below and proceed to browse. "Knowing Mathematics means remembering and applying the correct rule to a question."
I would like to acknowledge all the interesting and inspiring teachers and friends I had in my lifetime for whom there are too many to mention here. This site is dedicated to these people who have indirectly created this site. These
pages were built by Syed Salleh Alattas,
a Mathematics teacher from St
Patrick's School (Singapore). |
