about me..

I am a current student who is learning to memorise the Holy Quran. I lived in a non-muslim country so it unlike the Holy mecca or medina where kids as early as 3 learn to memorise the Quran. But I am nearing the age of 30 and my hifz is only a meagre compared to the youth if my school.anyway the motive of this website is to motivate and promote this memorisation of the quran. and also to share some experience of my own.And i got to tell u, this is no easy task. its like climbing an uphill mountain where the higher u go, the more treacherous terrains u have to pass. It's tough but with supplications constant motivations along the way and peers and family play a great part. insya-Allah may the ambition be a success! At my age , its tougher to memorise cos i;m considered "OLD" to sharpen my memory but nevertheless, i will try my best..Currently, i am a homemaker thus time is on my side. That is why I need to utilise my preciosu time before it slips away.....

the truth is, i got to learn this by chance. Few years back, i do not even know there are such people who can actually memorise the quran, i thought it to be impossible especially for non-arab community like mine. I do not even know the meaning of "hafiz'- ONE WHO MEMORISE THE qURAN. Until, one day an acquaintance told me that he wants to know a hafiz to learn as that course of study has lots of benefits on earth and especially the hereafter. after listening , I thought how could i find such a person as I'm not that religiously inclined in this tiny muslim community of mine. But God works in mysterious ways.. As if answering to my deep thoughts and questions, my heart was swayed to learn the holy quran with tajwid and tartil in a NEW school that has just set up. during the orientation, I am fascinated by the Ustaz, an hafiz from Mecca can actually read us any part of the Quran without even touching it or refer to it. Its amazing. Subhanallah. And that give me a KICK START to this mission...
