Swords, Sorcery & Sci-Fi Page

Welcome!

Hi there! Welcome to my page!

If you are interested in reading original Sci-Fi or Fantasy stories, you've come to the right place.

This site contains many materials relating to two Role-Playing Game (RPG) campaigns that I run through e-mail. If you've ever played Dungeons and Dragons or R. Talsorian Games' Cyberpunk, you know what I am talking about.

This is my first attempt at creating a website, so please bear with me.

What is a PBEM game?

PBEM stands for Play By E-Mail. However, instead of playing the traditionl roll-the-die-see-what happens, our game has become something of an 'interactive novel', where character development and interaction has become more important than dice rolling. Which does not mean that action is neglected! On the contrary, it is an important part of the story. There's plenty of action and excitement.

Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 and D&D Greyhawk

Currently, we have two PBEM campaigns going on. The Dungeons and Dragons themed "Company of the Raven," which has been going on for over a year now and our new project, a Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 story, which is still in the beginning stages of character development.

The Company of the Raven story is set in TSR's the World of Greyhawk setting, circa CY 576-577.

The Cyberpunk story is set in R.Talsorian Games' Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 Dark Future world, on the year 2030 (just add 9 years to the standard timeline for that setting and voila!)

Copyrights, Disclaimers and Apologies...

Before you proceed, I should add the standard disclaimers that D&D and  Greyhawk are copyrights of TSR and Wizards of the Coast. Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0. is copyrighted by R.Talsorian Games. Many of the themes, ideas and names presented in these stories are owned by these people, and my use of them is in no way intended to infringe on those copyrights. The above companies are not responsible, blah blah blah, yatta, yatta, yatta... You know the drill.

I should mention that the stories included herein are heavily influenced by several sources such as movies and novels that I have enjoyed, so expect a heavy influence from Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time (including the swordfighting styles, which I plagiarize shamelessly... go check out the original novels. His are much better than anything I could ever write!)

The Cyberpunk story is based on the  campaign/adventure set Land of the Free, published by R.Talsorian Games (see Disclaimer above) and is heavily influenced by sci-fi movies such as Blade Runner and The Matrix.

'Nuff said. Click on the buttons to the left to get started. Have fun.
