Let me introduce myself - Birgitte Jacobsen - I´m born and live in Denmark. In 1994 - I began with oil paintings - very quickly I gained a major interest to paint on metals - which actually comes natural, I work daily with ion and other metals. Metals are an exciting material to paint on and gives tremendous challenge in colors and theme. I am self educated - autodidact - though with help through seminars held at the Community of Art in Ishøj. The inspiration for the themes spring from my imagination and from the history of the past. I also do portraits of dogs on metal, coated with pewter. I am a member of - Prisme - which is a group of artists, and connected to the Community of Art in Ishøj, which have given me the possibility to exhibit my work different places. ellung & dwd |
