"I got out of Mushing because it is too cruel.  I've seen piles of dead puppies who were not fit to race.  Old race dogs are killed as well".  Yukon ex-musher
"Keeping them chained all their lives makes training much easier".  Dogs live isolated and bound by a chain.  This is not uncommon.
