At present there are two areas near Blewett Pass which are legally closed to motorized travel in winter. These are the Pipe Cr. area and the Tronsen Cr. area. Skiers and snowshoers can be almost 100% certain that they will not meet snowmobiles in either of these areas. These areas are legally defined and signs clearly mark the boundaries. There are legal penalties for driving a snowmobile into these areas. If you observe snowmobiles or their tracks in either of these area please make a report to the Cle Elum Ranger District. The Salmon la Sac ski trails within the campground are closed to motorized travel as are the ski trails maintained by the Kongsberger Ski Club at Cabin Cr. |
