Continuing the Porter story and looking at cultural differences - how east versus west looks at these stories in a different light.  Do we set characters up in different ways and what are the practical applications of such a story?  Why would Sheherezade tell it?                     

As well we will discuss any Middle Eastern mythology that is connected with the pomegranate (Monday's homework).
