south of the England-Scotland border
Studio shoots will be in Leavsdoaen Studio in England, the same
place where Star Wars and the James Bond movies have been filmed.
Privet Drive is being filmed on Picket Post Close road, outside
of North Yorkshire.
Special Effects:
Although filming should wrap up in late November or so, the film
won't be released for another year after that. And why? Because
so much of the film - Quidditch, transfiguration, spells, charms,
you name it; would be impossible to stage. Industrial Light &
Magic (ILM), the George Lucas -founded and -owned SFX company,
will be handling most of the effects. ILM has an impressive repertoire
including Star Wars and Jurassic Park. Another company that will
be helping is Jim Henson. NEW-->
