Missing Bliss

Alive on a terrain of temperments,
a moment of euphoria
then, without warning
a bullet explodes,
grief reigns undeniable.
Some among us are so damn lucky
to have no sense of emotion,
living from sunrise to sunrise,
never feeling the ghostly pull of a laden moon,
solely the perception of what is wanted,
never the wisdom of what is needed.
The rest of us though,
how we live!
One life in total dejection
while carousing with our friends,
forty hours of utter confusion
expecting to be paid,
six toiling hours of pitiless inebriation
hoping to get laid.
Days maturing on waves of emotions
waiting for the death.
