We have a TV show called America’s Next Top Model. Young women compete for the title & lucrative contracts. The thing about the show is with Mathu Andersen’s Makeup and Danillo doing hair, we were treated to some great freak looks. Week after week I was glued to the TV set to see what this dynamic duo would create. They never let us down, turning out glamorous freak looks time and time again. The show even educates on street fashion, personal style, diet, etc. The young models even got to walk a Heatherette show. I was so thrilled to finally see some good styling & makeup. There is also a show called What Not to Wear. Their crew showed up at Royal Bitches last month asking some of us to sign release forms and pose for footage. Could freaks be the brunt of the joke? What not to wear?? Just ask Boy George whose full outfit made the front cover of one of those cheap tabloid magazines that they sell at local supermarkets with the caption, “Boy Georges red carpet fashion fauxpa. The photo was George in a pair of b rude jeans and signature hat. And who can forget the infamous swan dress worn by Bjork, which time and time again is joked on by clueless minds. If impracticality and freak fashion is used and mocked by the media, by all means freaks should continue to dress as bad as their heart desires with no concern for taste or style NICKY LONDON COLUMN MENU
