MESSAGE TO STATE SECURITY:

These are a few words to the authorities in Egypt, and their consulates abroad.

Since we are sure you are watching this forum with deep interest, here are a few words:

  • a. Just because we are advocating change and reform, does not mean we are working against the government. Just because we want a better Egypt for our Children and Grand Children does not mean we are not patriotic. We love our country and our people, and this is why we want it to be a better place.
  • b. We are seeing a lot of drawbacks, but we are also realistic. These problems will not go away overnight, nor in one year, nor in 5 years. We do not want an all-or-nothing solution, since it is unrealistic. Some reform is better than no reform. If some reform comes from the current government, we will be happy. Even if the government takes our ideas and implements them itself, and takes credit for it, with no mention of us, we will be happy.
  • c. Do not waste your energy finding trying to find out who we are and classifying as belonging to certain groups in left and right (since we are neither). We do not belong to any existing political or religious group.
  • d. We are not an organization in the normal sense. We do not even know each other in person, nor the names of others, nor their addresses, or how they look like.
  • e. We recommend that you better to save the energy you waste on us for a better Egypt, and fight corruption and crime instead.
