Message from the Minister of Youth:
Hosting a FIFA World Cup™ is the dream of every nation and could become Egypt's reality in 2010. All Egyptians support the bid with the hope that their country will have the honour of hosting the biggest football event in the world. In doing so, Egypt will make history by becoming the first African nation to host a FIFA World Cup™ .
Egypt 2010 is on its way. We built the foundation of our campaign and now it is time to announce what we have done so far.
First of all, our Candidacy stands firm because of all the strengths we gather through our people, our organisations and our dedication.
Secondly, we aim to host an outstanding, unique event which will bring together men and women from all over the world. This is why the Egypt 2010 bid's slogan is 'Uniting People'. This represents our desire to greet the world in Egypt and to stand united behind the passion for football and the dream of a continent. We expect the support of everyone.
I am proud to present you with the first list of ambassadors and friends of the candidacy who enthusiastically accepted to participate in our endeavour and help promote our file. I would like to thank all of them for their support. Thanks are also due to the Egyptian Ministries for their cooperation with the Candidacy committee in preparing the file.
Our vision and message shall be continuously communicated through the new website launched today, as well as other media. Our official logo will be displayed everywhere for the next ten months.
Finally, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all ambassadors, friends, volunteers, and all the family of the Candidacy Egypt 2010 who share our dream and are working hard to make it a reality.
