Hi, my name is Sharon and I'm a Trini studying Marine Biology in Pennsylvania. I hope to provide information on my home country of Trinidad and Tobago as well as my experiences in the States. This is my first attempt at making a home page so please bear with me. Here are some Trinis that have excelled in their different sports overseas. I have had the opportunity to meet some of these idols from my country and I think that it's very interesting to see that even though we are a small country, we can produce such amazing talent.

For anyone who does not know of Trinidad, it is a small island located just off the coast of Venezuela and is at the end of the string of islands that make up the West Indies. My country's inhabitants are very mixed in their religion, race and culture. People of every creed and race find an equal place there as is sung in our National Anthem. Our island, even though it is located in the hurricane belt, has been blessed and does not experience very many natural disasters. On the other hand, we have a lot of natural wonders such as the Pitch Lake of La Brea, Devil's Woodyard which has mud volcanoes and the Nylon Pool. In our twin isle Tobago, there is the Buccoo Reef. Our island has the most beautiful flora and fauna which can easily be seen if you visit my country. I hope to have some pictures of my home land soon on this page for you to enjoy.

The capital of my country is Port-of-Spain and the next largest city, where I am from, is called San Fernando. If you click on the flag at the top of this page, you can see a very large map of Trinidad and Tobago. The capital of Tobago, our sister isle, is called Scarborough.
