I don't want to just sit here and continue watching without doing anything. No, I'm not suggesting a boycott. I intend to start an EFC Improvement Petition. The basic essence of this petition will be to show the powers that be (the people in charge of the show) that we, the fans that watch it are dissatisfied with the current state of things and desire some changes. We want them to listen.
Why bother?
Yes, I know we can't correct the 4th season's problems and yes, the 5th season is the last (planned). So why even bother trying to change things? Well, I think that the last season should be the best - correct old mistakes, finish open plotlines. I know other fan campaigns have worked: Fans brought back La Femme Nikita and the Sentinel and Roswell fans kept the show from being cancelled. So I think it's our duty as fans to make our voices heard. We make the show stay around. I think, if we truly care about the show then we should do what we can to change things. I WILL NOT support any boycott efforts for the show. This could only get the show canceled if successful.
I'm serious
I want to make a serious effort to make a difference - that way we can say that the fans truly tried to unite and make our voice heard and it's truly the fault of TPTB because they didn't listen. This campaign is by no means against TPTB. I respect quite a bit of what they've done but I do believe there are improvements that need to be made. And the whole reason I'm creating this campaign is because I TRULY LOVE the show.
I know we all have different ways we believe they can fix it - but shouldn't we put those differences aside for now and let them know we're unhappy with the current state of things or at the least that there is room and a need for some improvement.
