Biography
      Edward L. Fairbanks was born to Kathryn and James Fairbanks on August 20th 1928 in Hastings, Pennsylvania. He was one of ten cheildren in their family. The family moved to Warren, Ohio in the Bolindale area when Ed was a child. He went to the neighborhood elementary school and attended and graduated from Howland High School. After serving in the Army, he attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and then studied law at Ohio State Law School.
     He met and married Lea Stoneman and they returned to Warren, Ohio. He was an attorney with his own law practice in the 1950's. He was appointed assignment commisioner in Trumbull County in 1953. The couple began to have children. Ed began to paint as a hobby. As a career he worked in law and became Trumbull County's law librarian.
     When Edward L. Fairbanks died in April of 1972 at the young age of 45, he left a great many works of art behind. I am one of his daughters and have always found comfort in looking at his paintings. My father had passed away but I grew up surrounded by his artistic expressions.
