Welcome to Ed's Midi World.  On this site you will find a large collection of movie, game and band midi music.

Midi files are files of binary data or instructions that tell tone or sound generators to play a selection of musical notes and sounds. These files are usually created on a Sequencer or more frequently now on a computer. Midi files use a standard midi format - called general Midi or "GM", which consist of 128 musical sounds, so that they can be played by any "General Midi Compatible" player, such as Windows Media Player or Winamp.  So essentially; Midi files are very small binary data files that use your soundcard capabilities to do the hard work of producing the sounds that you hear. This site is dedicated to bringing you the latest and greatest in midi tunes based on your favorite movies, games, television shows and bands.

When browsing through my midi files you may come across a section called 'Ed's Midi Collections'... In order to download the midi collections (e.g. the Star Wars midi collection) you will need the program 'winzip', please download the evaluation version by clicking here if you do not already have a copy.

You are free to download any of the files on this site but I do ask that you don't directly link my files on your site.  Also, I am always looking for more Midi files, so please feel free to e-mail me if you have any files you would like to share.
