Basic Firearms Safety Taught by Professional Police Officers

Ed O'Leary and Dale Williams teach the classes. Both are Lieutenants on the Randolph Police Department and both have served as the department's Firearms Instructors and Armorers for many years. Among our credentials are certification from the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council, Glock, the National Rifle Association, the F. B. I., and the Massachusetts State Police. We both sit on the executive board of the Massachusetts Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors & Armorers Association, and both are members of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.

Classes are held at Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA. Contact the Registrar's office for dates at (508) 588-9100, or see Massasoit's web site at www.massasoit.mass.edu where the courses are listed.

This class certifies an applicant for class A through C licenses within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Due to statutory requirements and ethical considerations, Randolph residents will not be issued certificates since both instructors are police officers in the Town of Randolph Police Department.

Please! No guns or ammunition may be brought to the class! Bring a pen, bring a notebook or bring a friend. The classes, held on Saturday, will take 6 to 8 hours, so you may need to make arrangements for lunch.
